Casa U

A 1920s apartment recovers its classical spirit through an intervention that reinterprets the Beaux-Arts language with a calm, contemporary eye. A central courtyard brings in light and organises the plan, with every room arranged around it.

The spaces are fluid and connected, defined by elegant glazed partitions with curved frames that become the home’s main ornamental gesture.

Mouldings, natural oak, warm textiles and a neutral palette create a bright, balanced and timeless atmosphere in which tradition and modernity sit comfortably together. Each room gains a greater sense of space, continuity and a lasting connection to the light from the central courtyard.
