The Studio

Our Story

Baralá Estudio grew from a shared conviction: every space deserves to be understood before it is transformed. Three architects who already knew one another well decided to take the leap together, leave familiar certainties behind and build a practice of their own. They believed in a way of working that begins with looking, continues with understanding and only then turns to design. The result is a studio with a distinct identity and a clear approach to architecture and interior design.

Before drawing the first line, we listen to the space: how the light enters, what deserves to stay, what needs to change and how life will unfold there. Every project begins with understanding, never with imposing a vision. From there, evocative materials, a considered use of colour and attention to every detail bring out the unique character of each place.

Marta Güemes García

Architect and Co-founder

Approaches architecture intuitively, with an eye for how spaces are lived in and for the small details that make them personal. Her work across residential projects, different practices and design ventures such as LifeRoom has taken her between very different scales. At Baralá, she brings this conceptual sensitivity together with an understanding of construction, materials and the needs of the people who will inhabit each project.

David García García

Architect and Co-founder

Construction is where ideas are carried through to their fullest expression. His experience in refurbishment, heritage, retail and hospitality has given him firsthand knowledge of the building process and everything that happens between drawing and finished space. At Baralá, he brings a practical, analytical perspective, ensuring design, technical decisions and execution move in the same direction.

Pablo Dacal Gutiérrez

Architect and Co-founder

Approaches architecture through space and material, while remaining attentive to what came before. His interest in twentieth-century architecture and design sits alongside a background in concept design, visualisation and working with materials and suppliers. At Baralá, he brings this sensibility to each project, exploring how proportions, textures and elements can come together to form an identity of their own.

We have experience in residential, office and retail spaces, delivering complete renovations, interior design and technical projects that require permits. We guide each project from beginning to end: from the first conversation with the client through design, technical drawings and supplier coordination to managing the building works.
