Estudio Googie

The apartment had been rented out for almost five years and still bore the marks of a 1990s renovation that had left its highly compartmentalised original layout intact.

The proposal focused on opening up the plan and bringing the kitchen, living room and study together in one shared space, creating a brighter, more fluid and welcoming place to spend time.

The result is a spacious apartment with a balance of retro and contemporary influences, designed to give prominence to the owner’s collection of furniture from the 1950s to the 1970s. Full of character, it reinterprets the style of another era through a contemporary lens.
